Birding Gyles Quay

Gyles Quay is located on the Cooley Peninsula, approximitly 17 Kilometres from Dundalk, County Louth. There are spectacular views of the the Cooley mountains. Spring and late  Autumn are the best time to visit it as atracts a lot of caravans and coaches.

There is a walk along the beach that attracts gulls during low tide, as well as divers and waders. There is also a small cliff face at the back of the beach, as well as extensive areas of grasslands that attract warblers, pippits, finches and a good selection of birds.

There is plenty of parking outside of peak holiday times.
