Seatown Park Monkstown

Monkstown in  South Dublin is located close to Dun Laoghaire. It is predominantly a residential area, but there is also access to a linear park that runs alongside the sea shore. This gives you views out across Dublin Bay. You can walk through the park towards Dun Laoghaire and as it is a short walk, you can combine it with a walk along the West Pier at Dun Laoghaire Harbour. The park is a typical landscaped park with grass, shrubs and trees. It also provides great views of the shoreline looking towards the harbour, and also back across Dublin Bay towards the city.

The Dart railway line runs alongside the coast here and there is a stop at the west end of the park. You can travel here from the City by train. Alternatively, you can park on Brighton Avenue. There is a “Pay & Display facility operating here and you can can park all day for five Euros. You can use coins or alternatively use your debit card.

At the end of Brighton Avenue, walk to your left. The entrance to the park is just 50 metres  away!
