Golf Links Road

Golf Links Road is accessed from the vilage of Portmarnock in North Dublin. As you drive down the road, there is a tidal marsh on your right hand side that runs for over a Kilometre, to Portmarnock Golf Club. It is an extensive marsh that stretches as far as Burrow Beach in Sutton. Parking is usually available along the roadside. Alternatively, there is a free public carpark located a couple of hundred metres before you reach the entrance to Portmarnock Golf Club.

There is a raised grass bank alongside the marsh which gives you clear views of the entire marsh. The marsh attracts a wide variety of bird life including waders, gulls, wildfowl, herons, warblers and chats. Birds of prey are occasionally seen in the sky aboe the marsh.

While you are in the area, consider a visit to Baldoyle which is only about a 10 minute drive from here!
